Effective Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, three Route 11 morning trips will be adjusted.

Individuals will have an opportunity to learn about public transit in Greater Des Moines and ride all DART Local, Express, Flex and On Call services for free during Try Transit Week Oct. 6-12, 2013.

Residents of Greater Des Moines can attend DART’s monthly training class on Sept. 25 to learn how to ride public transit in the city.

The public is invited to a series of three public meetings being held Tuesday and Thursday, Sept. 24 and 26, to advise DART staff on a planning study for Flex Route 73, which serves Urbandale and Windsor Heights.

Come visit DART at the Downtown Wednesday Farmers’ Market on Sept. 4, 11 and 25, to learn more about the recently expanded DART services.

Residents trying to reach the only overnight cooling shelter in Polk County can ride there for free on DART buses.

The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority will not operate bus service on Monday, Sept. 2, in observation of Labor Day. Service will resume Tuesday, Sept. 3.
